90-Day Reporting

90-Day Reporting

90-Day Reporting. Thailand’s vibrant culture, stunning scenery, and relaxed pace of life make it a popular destination for long-term stays. However, if you plan to reside in the Land of Smiles for more than 90 days, you’ll need to comply with a regulation known as 90-day reporting.

Who Needs to Report?

This regulation applies to all foreign nationals staying in Thailand for more than 90 consecutive days, regardless of the reason for their stay. This includes tourists on extended visas, international students, foreign workers, retirees, and business travelers.

What is 90-Day Reporting?

It’s essentially informing the Immigration Bureau of your current address every 90 days. This helps them maintain accurate records and monitor foreign residents within the country.

The Reporting Process:

There are three ways to submit your 90-day report:

  • In Person: Visit your local Immigration Office and complete Form TM.47.
  • By Mail: Submit a completed Form TM.47 by registered mail to the Immigration Office.
  • Online: For those who have already reported in person once, online reporting is an option. Visit our website for more information: (https://www.thailand-visa.net/)

Important Reminders:

  • The 90-day period starts from your official entry date into Thailand. If you leave and re-enter the country, the clock resets.
  • Aim to report within the designated timeframe, which is typically 15 days before or 7 days after your 90-day period ends.
  • Failure to report or late submissions can result in fines of up to 2,000 baht.

Benefits of Compliance:

Reporting your address keeps your immigration status up-to-date and avoids any potential complications during future visa renewals or extensions.

Making it Easy:

Set a reminder in your phone or calendar to ensure timely reporting. Having the necessary documents readily available, like your passport and visa information, can streamline the process.

Peace of Mind:

By understanding and fulfilling the 90-day reporting requirement, you can enjoy your extended stay in Thailand with peace of mind, allowing you to focus on exploring the wonders this beautiful country has to offer.
